Episode 14: The Five Facets of Running- Part 2: Mindset and Stress Management

What’s Up Runners! This episode is the second part in a five part series where we are going to discuss the facets of running. Each episode is going to discuss a different facet where we dive deep into a couple of habits that you can incorporate into your training model in order to help you perform your best and stay injury free!

In this episode, it’s all about mindset and stress management! March was mentally and physically hard for me so this episode is coming out at the right time. There are two components with nuance to running and mindset:

❤️ On a physical level, running can reduce stress as an exercise in general, however, too much running can tip us into depletion.

❤️ On a mental level, running can reduce stress by being in nature and gives you time to reflect on your life, however, you could either use running to avoid diving deep into your mental health concerns or you can start making your worth based on your running stats.
